Creating content with the editor

Learn how to create the content your audience craves.

Easy-to-use drag & drop editor

Our intuitive drag & drop editor empowers you and your colleagues to create engaging content quickly and easily. You can open the editor by creating a new Foleon Doc or clicking on any existing Doc in a project.

Docs hold all your content, divided into pages enriched with text, images, and other elements. You can see in the example below just how easy it is to add content to a page.

How Foleon Docs are structured

Pages, blocks, columns, elements, and overlays are the foundation of every Foleon Doc. In the image below, you can see how these components relate to each other.

1. Foleon Doc

Contains one or more pages

2. Page

Contains one or more blocks

3. Block

Contains up to 7 columns

4. Column

Contains one or more elements

5. Element

Rich content you add to your column

6. Overlay

Pop-ups that make your content more engaging

Stay on-brand with theme settings

Each Foleon Doc has its own theme. By using theme settings, you set global styling that applies to that entire Doc.

You can edit and save styles for elements like fonts, buttons, text links, and dividers.

We recommend setting your theme settings before creating new pages, blocks, columns, and elements.

Fine-tune content for different screen sizes

Today, responsiveness is one of the main things to think about when creating content. Your audience will read your content on all kinds of devices, ranging from a 5" mobile to a 23" monitor — and everything in between.

One of our favorite Foleon features is that every piece of content you create is responsive out-of-the-box. However, for a more bespoke look, you can use the view modes to fine-tune your content for different screen sizes: desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Save your content as templates

You can save pages, overlays, and blocks as templates to reuse them in your Foleon Docs. Templates will help you save time and stay on-brand — making it an essential part of the content creation process.

Preview your work

You can preview your Foleon Doc to see what it looks like outside the editor. If you’ve already published your Doc, the preview feature allows you to preview your changes before setting them live. The preview link is shareable and accessible to anyone with the URL, even if they don’t have a Foleon account. If you want to share a preview of your Foleon Doc with someone, simply send them the preview URL.

Now that you've learned about the editor and how to create the content your audience craves, let's have a look at how you can publish your content.
